South of Scotland MSP Joan McAlpine will this week hold the first of her seasonal “street surgeries” as she visits constituents in three Nithsdale towns.
The SNP politician will visit Kirkconnel, Sanquhar and Thornhill on Friday morning.
Commenting, Ms McAlpine said:
“Street surgeries are an opportunity for me to get out-and-about in the community and hear first-hand from my constituents the issues that matter to them.
“This is particularly important in a more rural area like Dumfriesshire. I recognise that it’s not always possible for constituents to travel to my office in Dumfries.
“And I am always happy to arrange a visit outwith surgery times – constituents should contact my office and my staff will set up an appointment.”
The surgeries will be held on Friday 20th November on Main Street in Kirkconnel at 10am, 11am outside the Tolbooth Museum in Sanquhar and 12noon on Drumlanrig Street in Thornhill.
