Tour of Britain Clycle Race Returns to Dumfriesshire

That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that the Tour of Britain is to return to Dumfriesshire on 15 September 2013;

understands that this is the 10th anniversary of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race; notes that the first stage will start in Peebles and finish at Drumlanrig Castle, and looks forward to the mass participation Tour Ride on 14 September, which will see amateur cyclists joining the world’s best on Dumfries and Galloway’s roads.
