Moat Brae Windows Appeal

That the Parliament welcomes the launch of the Moat Brae Windows Appeal by Joanna Lumley; notes that Moat Brae is a listed Georgian townhouse in Dumfries, designed by Walter Newall in 1823, who it believes is acknowledged as being the inspiration for JM Barrie’s iconic character Peter Pan, understands that the Peter Pan Moat Brae Trust was set up in 2009 to save the Moat Brae house and garden from demolition;

welcomes the plans to restore the derelict building, develop a centre of children’s literature and re-invent the garden for play and active learning, and wishes everyone involved in the project continuing success in their fundraising efforts.
