JOAN reckons Scots taking Margo's advice by backing independence in September would be a legacy she would have wanted.

MARGO MacDonald never grumbled about pain.

She shrugged it off like a minor inconvenience even when she was close to death.

She phoned just two weeks ago, offering support when an anti-independence newspaper mounted a vendetta against me.

“Remember, these things pass in politics,” she advised, in her firm, motherly way.

“But you have to be nice to everyone – even the folk ye cannae stand!”...
