MSPs at Holyrood should refuse to accept the 11 per cent pay rise going to MPs at Westminster and the decision should highlight the differences between the two parliaments
MOST folk would be a bit miffed to open a letter from the boss saying they would not get a proposed pay rise.
But I was delighted.
The Scottish Parliament’s Presiding Officer Tricia Marwick wrote to myself and other MSPs yesterday recommending we refuse to accept the 11 per cent pay rise going to MPs at Westminster.
As the law stands, Scottish MSPs’ pay is linked to that of Westminster MPs....
