MSP Joan McAlpine was impressed by the staff at Lochduhar Care Home where she opened their summer fête at the weekend.
The South Scotland SNP member was invited to open the fête by Care Home activities coordinator Maggie.
The MSP helped out on the stalls and was lucky enough to go home with a jar of sweeties from the raffle.
Commenting she said:
"I was incredibly impressed with Lochduhar - the staff were great and the home had both a full and a part time activities coordinator so there were lots of activities and outings on offer.
"The residents were also treated to a dog agility demonstration, which was great.
"I can see why so many people are keen for their loved ones to secure a place here."
